Reina was exceptional, she welcomed us to the hotel and made the most delicious dinner for us, she then woke up extra early to prepare breakfast for us before we hiked the volcano. We were supposed to stay at El Ecanto for 4 nights, but we loved it so much we extended our stay for longer. The hotel is absolutely lovely, it’s secluded and intimate, but not too far away from other restaurants and hostels. We rented motorcycles right from the hotel. The view from the restaurant is stunning. The manager Jose was so amazing to us, he speaks perfect English and knows everything about the island. He made our stay so smooth, he organized all our transports, and rentals. We loved it here!

Delicious food in the restaurant, hearty free breakfast. Monkeys and many species of birds around. Loved our stay here, highly recommend!

Everything was awesome, they contacted early in the morning and provided important information about the place, when we arrived they called me by name, he was very kind.

Room was very cool and also had two fans. Good price and nice staff.

Having the water right In front of my room was a beautiful view to wake up to . Staff were friendly , music was nice, very nice and peaceful place to stay , breakfast was really good ! Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. The family provided excellent hospitality and were very welcoming. The homecooked meal was amazing and Thank you for catering to our needs. We would highly recommend this family run accomodation to anyone visiting Ometepe. The walk from the port is 30mins however, Luis is happy to pick you up!
