Always ask for a Table Fan which will be given to you on request, as u will need 1 for slight air circulation in the room….coz u will need to shut the windows coz of the outside noise and mosquitoes sometimes.…or else u might feel stuffy or sweaty in the middle of the night…..this is a tip to be used in the whole of Norway.

We arrived quite late in the evening after a long but fantastic travel day. We visited Steindalsfossen and we crossed Hardangerfjorden by taking the ferry from Torvikbygd to Jondal, we highly recommend it! Check-in was friendly and when we entered the small apartment we were awed. Didn't know it would be so big and what a view! Everything was clean, bathroom was good sized, shower was fantastic. Bedroom was small but beds were comfy. Breakfast next morning was plentiful and tasty. Check-out was friendly.
The hotel is very convenient for trips to Hardangervidda, however, ist ist situated in industrial Tyssedal - we liked it very much, this place ist about industrial revolution in Hardangerfjord and about water poweplant (down to the museum just few steps). Room was bright, bathroom modern, breakfast nice, evening meal in restaurant delicious. Plus the local ciders. Perfect stay after five day hike on Hardangervidda. And the paintings in the restaurant and halls, awesome art!
In one word, everything. The apartment was well furnished, perfectly located for discovering the different parts of Hardangerfjord, and Kjellrun was extremely responsive and supportive. The crowning selling point, however, must be the view: even on rainy days, we just couldn't get enough of it, and the apartment has beautiful windows to admire the scenery and watch the day go by. I promise you, it will be hard to get out of those comfortable lazy chairs by the window.
This is a very classy hotel located on the Sørfjorden, a narrow branch of the Hardangerfjord, so narrow that you can see across the fjord from your room. Setting is spectacular. Spa facilities were excellent with several pools, sauna, hot tub. We hiked from the hotel up through the apple orchards along a river valley to a waterfall, about 3h walk, not too strenuous with great views. Dining on site is lovely but expensive; there are other options near by.
Granvin
You looking for a place with tons of atmosphere and charm, look no further - this is it! In a quaint village in Hardanger, lies this hotel with a long history of taking care of travelers and we were in luck to stumble upon the place in May - and we were truly positively surprised and would love to come back!
Eidfjord
Located in direct proximity of the Eidfjord and on the main route from/to Hardangervidda and Vorringsvossen with enough parking space. The winterterrace is very cosy. The breakfast buffet variety was good for the small size of Hotel with a very good quality. Staff was very nice and helpfull.
Hardanger House is an exceptional place. Everything was extraordinary, great attention to details. The food was the best that I've ever had in Norway! They have an excellent chef, great wine and whiskey choices. Friendly and genuinely sincere staff. Top notch, HIGHLY recommended.
Tyssedal
We had a big apartment, good kitchen and bathroom, and especially enjoyed eating on the balcony with a view over the mountains. From tyssedal we were able to do hikes in both the folgefonna and hardangervidda nationalpark by public transport.
Norheimsund
Location was great for trails and a short distance to Norheimsund by car and access to Hardanger fjord. Bergen about an hours drive away. Apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed.
I loved learning that it is one of Norway’s oldest hotels, as you could feel there was a lot of history within those walls. The location couldn’t have been better — it’s only a few steps out the back to the train station, and a very short walk to Voss’ famous gondola. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of options as to what you could eat or drink; the pastries were so crisp, and the espresso machine knew what it was doing. The staff was very friendly, and also allowed us to store our fairly large travel backpacks for a few hours after check-out before our train to Bergen.
Hotel upgraded our room for free, so we had wonderful view, and bathroom in it! Also we were hiking on Trolltunga so had a free shuttle from the hotel to P2 Tasty breakfast with an amazing view from the restaurant We were satisfied 100%
Wonderful little houses, perfectly equipped, standing in a beautiful place overlooking the fjord. I definitely recommend it!
Fantastic place for families with kiddos, super friendly staff! Our kids didn’t want to leave 😀
A very nice place to stay and chill outside with a beautiful view.
Very big cabin, with 2 small bedrooms and large living room. Good equipped kitchen.
Incredible location, well kitted out cabins and facilities. I was there during the offseason but everything still worked as it should. Friendly owner who gave clear instructions via message.
AMAZING place to stay! Direct on the Fjord , perfectly quiet and clean, and the camp ground is also so quiet and clean. Would absolutely stay here again . There's also a lot of hiking opportunities in the area as well as a lovely walk into the village that has a good pizza place and a bakery.
It was right on the water. It was very large for the price. Very funky decor
