The room was also very clean with a beautiful view of the park and bay area. The personnel was very friendly. The whole experience was great.

Featuring an in-house hair and beauty shop, the self-service Wilhelmsen House offers central accommodation in Tønsberg. The property is a 5-minute walk to public transport. Having all the entry codes and administration sorted out by email in advance was really good: the ability to just walk straight to my room without any sort of in person check-in was really appreciated after a long journey. The gym was an unexpected bonus, which I was fortunately in a position to take advantage of. Also, the fact that all local takeaways seem to know where it is and are happy to deliver there removed a lot of decision making.

Dating back to 1914, this hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Sandefjord Station. It offers free afternoon waffles with tea/coffee, a free evening buffet, plus free sauna and gym access. It felt like staying in a museum / hotel. The reception and the room you had breakfast and dinner in were decorated with whaling memorabilia and i loved that. Very cozy , warm ( even though outside at bight the temperature dropped at -20 celsius ).

Situated about 5 minutes’ walk from Tønsberg Station, this central waterfront hotel offers free Wi-Fi and sea views. All rooms have a flat-screen cable TV. Super cosy bed, very spacious room with sofa corner. Great bathroom with large shower (good water pressure and hot), nice shampoo/conditioner/lotion products. And a great hairdryer- this is so really relevant for me as I have long hair and I am so fed up with those tiny, ridiculously overheating hotel-hairdryers! It made my mornings so much better. Also, there is a proper ironing board. I travel for business and ironed clothes are essential. It was super quiet, with no noise from the neighbouring rooms or the hallway. The breakfast offered everything one could wish for, I was very happy!
