Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe building is older and therefore the walls are thin, which is acceptable and expected. But let’s just say my wife and I could fully hear a woman that was clearly, having the best morning of her life, if you catch my drift. But hey, good for her! It is a romantic hotel!
This is more than a hotel, it is an experience. The moment you step inside you leave the rolling California hills and are transported to an idealized French escape only found in cinema. Your romanticized stay is then enhanced by the fresh morning crepes, pastries, and drip coffee. Simply put, it is rare to find places like this anymore, and I will certainly be returning every time I am in the area.

United States of AmericaI liked everything.
This is a charming hotel with a delicious breakfast and coffee. The location is perfect for walking to downtown Petaluma restaurants and shops. Free parking is an added bonus. The decor of the hotel took me back to vacations in France. The room size was amazing and our bed was very comfortable.

United States of AmericaThe entry I felt was a little troublesome. You need to remember the code if you want back in the front door.
Just so cute. Old building which I always enjoy and nice furnishings. The crepe breakfast was delicious. The bed was wonderful and I slept like a baby. I’ll be back.

United States of AmericaThe only scary thing was the narrow staircase up to the second floor. It was pretty cool, but be careful if you have had some vino!
I was so impressed with this little hotel. I have only been to Paris once, but this was the next best thing. The bed was so comfortable - I slept like a baby. The location is excellent for Petaluma and other wine country activities. Can't wait to be back!

United States of AmericaThe walls are a bit thin. The first night there we could hear our neighbors. We have been spoiled and expected complimentary coffee. There was a nespresso machine in our room and the hotel charges $2. per cup. The price for the hotel room was so reasonable that we shrugged it off.
The location is great. it is very close to the city center. It is both quirky and charming.

United States of AmericaThis was the fifth visit to the Metro. We were in our favorite room which was a perfect size and the cleanliness was exceptional. The light from the bedroom windows added a an extra bonus. The room was quiet so we were able to sleep uninterrupted. The extras in the bathroom made our visit easier because we didn’t need to think about packing shampoo, lotion, hair drier etc. The Metro staff was accommodating, friendly, helpful and kept our room spotless. They work with smiles and create a comfortable atmosphere. Towels and bedding smelled fresh and we feel pampered having them changed daily. The new charge for breakfast doesn’t matter as the crepes are delicious and made fresh. The fresh fruit is kept full. Tea and coffee with the crepes and breads created a relaxing, positive happy start to our day. THANK YOU Metro

United States of AmericaThe life-size goose night was cute during the day but perhaps a bit scary at night. ;)
The staff (Allie) gave us a personal tour of the hotel at check-in and accommodated my wife's requested upgrades on the spot. Bravo. The suite was spacious and the black out curtains allowed us to over sleep before we enjoyed lovely human-made fresh crepes and pour-over coffees at their breakfast nook.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast offerings, while tasty, were lacking, they would be smart to add cappuccino/espresso drinks and a few more food options, other than that loved it

United States of AmericaThe heat in room 123 could have been turned on a little earlier, it took a while to get it warm.
This place is just fun - a quirky throwback to another era with a French flavor. Great decorating, great breakfast with fresh made crepes and fresh fruit, excellent coffee. We will return next time we come to town!
