Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room could use a DEEP clean. The walls and ceiling had a weird brown splatter stain on them. The sink was cracked. And the beds could have been more comfortable.
The location was nice. We enjoyed being able to walk to Cracker Barrel.

United States of AmericaOur door lock was broken, our room was broken into and someone oddly just took $2. The bathroom was leaking like crazy and the floor was dirty when we got there, I washed everything down and the towel was brown. The manager attempted to address my concerns he was very nice, but I had such a high level of ick and it didn't matter how nice he was, the hotel straight up just wasn't safe. He said they have people that patrol the building, but apparently that didn't stop anyone from waltzing in. He told me he'd issue me a refund for my stay, but that hasn't happened yet. (Update 4/22: My room was refunded.) As my girls and I were packing our bags to leave, a cockroach decided to put the cherry on top of our experience and run across the room- we grabbed our stuff and ran out screaming. I drove to the next hotel down the road and had to empty our bags shaking everything out to make sure no bugs got inside my things.
The beds were new clean seeming and comfortable. The one night we actually stayed we did sleep very well (got there tired after midnight and didn't have issues until the next morning) and the kids liked their beds. Great location.

United States of AmericaThere is no breakfast, but a Cracker Barrel and a Golden Corral right beside the establishment that is open for breakfast and easily to walk.
This is a newly remodel motel, CLEAN! It grounds are lovely setting, restaurants: Cracker Barrel, Hooters, Golden Corral, Jose Mexican all in walking distant. Very near Colonial Williamsburg, and Bush Gardens theme park (about 5 miles). Rooms are large and CLEAN, The king suite, the bed is comfortable, large bathroom with a tub or shower. But the hospitality of Trey and Mike at check - in makes this a place I will definitely stay when visiting Williamsburg!

United States of AmericaEverything else. The pictures lie and don't tell the whole story. This is a very old and run down building that used to be a travel lodge. No new signs have been put up so it appears hard to find. This place known by the locals is sketchy at best and not a good place for families. Used most often by workers and rented out on a weekly basis. When we arrived not one person in the lobby and it looked like it had been deserted for years. No signs or phone numbers to call. Not one car in the parking lot. We ended up staying elsewhere because we felt concerned for our safety.
Where this building was located was near some restaurants and stores.

United States of AmericaNothing. These people are liars. I was supposed to receive a refund. The room I reserved had been checked into by another patron when I arrived. I stayed in the wrong room two nights. The manager Sarah was supposed to refund me she never did. Now, the hotel is ignoring my calls and forwarding them to voicemail. Do not stay at this disgusting hotel.

United States of AmericaEverything else. This hotel is a catfish. Apparently someone just bought it so the sign still says TravelLodge and looks like it's closed down, so you'll drive around looking for Williamsburg Suites. After driving around a run down parking lot that looks like projects, with pot holes and broken down cars (people live at this hotel full time also), good luck checking in. They Apparently try and find rooms that are okay. We checked in at 7pm(with a reservation and note that we'd be checking in at 7pm)and they had to find a room for us but most didn't have tvs, so the guy said it would be a little longer to install a cable box. The TV only had one channel, which didn't matter because the remote control had no batteries. The nice young guy checking us in was new, 2nd day, and the owner left him out high and dry to run this place that should be closed. He had to ask his friend that managed another hotel to help him. She was also nice. That's it. Maybe don't but a hotel and try and rent rooms until you have your things in order. I'm usually great at finding deals based on reviews. The reviews are false and fluffed unless the reviews are for a different Williamsburg Suites? Stay stay away!!!! I never write reviews like this but people need to know what they are in for. Catfish!! Don't say you haven't been warned.
Location was close to things
