The B&B is ideally located within walking distance of the key sites, yet removed enough from the centre to provide a quiet spot to relax after a day of site seeing. The room was very comfortable, clean & beautifully decorated. However, what makes Chestnuts exceptional is the delightful host, Toni, & thoughtful touches such as the homemade sweet treats left in the room each day. It was lovely to have a small piece of cake with a cup of tea. It was also nice that there was fresh milk in the fridge. The breakfasts were extraordinary & among the best I have ever had at a hotel or B&B. I was surprised by the choice on the menu, allowing for something different each morning (e.g. delicious full English, eggs Royal with smoked salmon, eggs Florentine). Toni was easy to communicate with, prompt in responding to queries in advance of arrival & a wonderful host. It was a fantastic experience & we very much look forward to a future opportunity to stay at Chestnuts B&B again.

Friendly hosts, excellent room. We liked the little touches- plants in the bathroom, sachets of hot drinks. It was a cosy and enjoyable stay. The place was clean and an easy 20 minute walk or 8 minute taxi into the city. We would definitely return. The breakfast was also exceptional.
