The room was bright and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, when we asked about dining out or finding a laundromat. The full English breakfast was piping hot and delicious . There was also cereal and fruit on the side and lots of hot coffee, tea or cold beverages. We sat in the breakfast room and watched the boats go by. we also enjoyed the pub right downstairs for food and drinks.

Absolutely excellent location, perfect room with a view of the Abbey remains - the room could not have been better. With a brilliant classic movie theme, luxury bedding and furnishings you could not ask for a better location of room. The in room breakfast was a most welcome surprise and started our days off perfectly - thank you

John and Joos were very warm, and their hospitality made us feel at home. John was very helpful and carried our luggage to the third story room where we had stayed. He gave us the car park coupon for 3 days. He also helped us to load our luggage to our car even though it's raining when we leave. Joos explained to us the things to do in Whitby and gave us the map. The lady who served us the breakfast was very friendly, helpful, kind, and chatty. When we asked for extra toast, she gave us to us with a smile. Their wifi is very good and easily accessible.

It was such a nice room, it's beautiful and clean with a nice smell. The room has just been renovated, so it was a pleasure to spend time there. Friendly hosts created friendly atmosphere among the guests, so it was a pleasure to spend time with them during breakfast. I had a splendid time in the city and my stay here definitely influenced my impression from the city.

Everything - a beautiful building, spotless, cute and comfortable room, quiet, enough space for 2, and, very importantly, free off street parking. We were able to walk everywhere but you need to be reasonably fit as the streets are very steep in parts. Jayne could not have been more welcoming and helpful, a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

Linda and John were amazing, extremely helpful and caring. It was truly a pleasure staying here. Food was a 10/10, and so was the hospitality and comfortability. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back😊

Recently updated - nice clean rooms with comfortable bed. Hot water in shower. There is a lockbox system to pick up the key. The email with the code was sent to my phone and I had no issues checking in (even checked in a couple of hours early).
