Everything was perfect. The location was great- near the station, quiet and with a phenomenal view from the garden. We were made very welcome by our host who had provided some food items and did our washing. She was very friendly and helpful. Being able to relax in the lovely garden and pool was very special. The apartment was very comfortable and clean.

Two storey house close to the centre of town. Plenty of space , including a kitchen/dining area , 2 bedrooms, a living room and two bathrooms. It was quiet, comfortable and clean. We appreciated the coffee machine, biscuits and muffins.

Helena was present to welcome us upon our arrival and to give us the keys to the house and show us how everything worked and where to find everything. Helena is such a wonderful person, so kind and helpful. The house is very comfortable and offers plenty of light from the outside. The view to the vines is beautiful. The house is very clean. The pool table was a plus. There is also a jacuzzi but we did not use. We enjoyed the hearty breakfast in the morning. The kitchen is very well equipped for the preparation of other meals. Lots of hot water and very good pressure. There is a dedicated laundry area on the first floor with full size and separate washer and dryer. This is rare in Europe. We also appreciated the bathrobes and slippers. The restaurants and waterfront are 5 minutes down the hill by car. Car parking was easy. We stayed 1 week and we would come back anytime. The house is centrally located to most of the vineyards in the Douro Valley.

I especially liked how Pedro gave me maps with places to hike, to eat, to experience wine tastings, etc. The hostel k was exceptional with a kitchen, tables for eating, a refrigerator for guests. On the upper level of the hostel is a wonderful terrace with tables, a beverage refrigerator, a clothes washing space and a garden. A great place to socialize with the hotel hosts and guests. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels in Portugal and Spain. I rate this as my number one hostel stay.
