The beds were comfortable and had quality bedding and towels. The kitchen was well equipped and had a comfortable sofa. Garden ideal for the dog.

I was blown away by the breakfast. There were two choices. First off was Italian: a cornetto, marmalades, bread, orange juice and cappuccino. Of you could opt for "Continental" which meant almost anything else including; prosciutto, cheese, bread, fresh eggs (scrambled, fried, whatever), yogurt, orange juice, cappuccino and other things I have forgotten. One of the best breakfasts (included in the room price) that I've ever had at an Albergo. The entire staff were helpful, friendly and professional. When I reserved the room I expected something normal, but instead I got something really nice. It's simple, no frills, but it has everything it should have and more.

Overlooking the Tuscan hills, B&B Il Casale delle Pianacce is located in Castiglione di Garfagnana. It features a terrace and a furnished garden. With free WiFi access, rooms come with a rustic décor.... Great place, with beautiful views of garfagnana. Definetely recommend, since Giovanni is an outstanding host! We've been there only for one night off season - but still had a great time! We'll definetely be back.
