The lobby of the hotel has a lovely design. And it makes you feel very cozy. A very big thank you to the lady from the staff who was happy to help me with my parking issues 10 stars. Hotell Gamla Fängelset is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. The hotel is really original: it was a prison once, turned into offering a more pleasant kind of hosting... The hotel is super clean, the staff extremely kind and helpful, the price is very honest for the offered service. I travelled with my three children and I was worried of the shared bathroom, but in the end it turned out to be an advantage since we could have a shower in parallel, saving a lot time!

Set in a former medical officer’s villa, this central Umeå hotel is 100 metres from the Ume River. Sauna, relaxation area and WiFi access are free, as is a light evening buffet. All was good. Reception staff were very helpful, dinner and breakfast was included. Dinner was buffet and from hot meat was only chicken but that was enough. There were potatoes and a lot of different cuts and salads and little things. Drinks had to be purchased separately. We enjoyed everything. Nothing to fault. The bed was comfortable.

U&me hotel is located in the center of Umeå, just 50 meters from the Umeälv. The contemporary furnished rooms all have a fantastic view of the city or the river. Again it was very cozy and nice to stay here. As we had an early check out cus of early flight, they have prepared breakfast box to take away, it was very nice and food was fresh! Tack så mycket ❤️

This was the perfect hotel for us, and it's very luxurious for decent price! Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was 10/10 and there was enough gluten free options.
