Location was fantastic, easy access to old streets, restaurant and shopping - right opposite the cathedral. Host was lovely and very helpful with local maps etc., room and bathroom is very private in a separate area to the main apartment, with a lovely balcony (although I didn't use as it was fairly cold/drizzly). Water and coffee/tea was available, and a cute little honesty bar if you needed drinks or snacks.

This location is a hidden gem and wonderful place to stay. I would describe the location as one in the heart of Mechelen, you have a short walking distance to beautiful places. Our suite was very clean, very comfortable and cozy. We had a wonderful terrace. Nathalie is a great host, taking care of her guests, providing best recommendations. We would go again and again. Kurt was a fantastic host, very friendly, open and helpful. I really liked the room - size, organic bathroom accessories and the shower :) Bed was very comfortable and had a nice sleep. Got personalised breakfast with juice, bread, jam from local sources and scrambled eggs from Porta' own chickens.
