Great location in the centre of town. Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Garage for bike storage. Resturant has a good atmosphere with nice food.
Rooms were quiet however there was quite a bit of street noise, earplugs would help.

I can find nothing negative to say about Melk. We totally enjoyed our stay and all of the attractions that were easily accessible. We eat at local restaurants and the food was excellent. The Abbey is extraordinary and the surroundings are wonderful. The city is a whole story, full of a preserved history with great attention to detail. Very professional. Was easy to get around, no problems. We think to plan another trip to Melk in the near future.

Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour. We also enjoyed the old downtown and all the sites and stores. Melk is a lovely touristic town, little shops, tiny streets, spectacular monestary and views. The area of Wachau has so much to offer and explore, I loved it and I will definitely return in a different season. The church is the centre of Melk is extremely welcoming, beautiful and joyful. Strongly recommended!

We only had to spend a Friday night in Melk but once arrived...
We only had to spend a Friday night in Melk but once arrived (although pretty late), we got out to take a walk. We were impressed by the tranquility of the old town's city center and had a very nice dinner at Venezzia Restaurant (if you don't have to, don't go to the bathroom there :)). We'll be back to visit the Abbey!

Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see.
Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see. The town is very pretty and a great place to wander around for an hour or two. There were some nice restaurants and bars, but many places were closed for the season (January). You can see the abbey and town in an afternoon, but there are other places in the surrounding countryside if you stay longer.JohnHungary

All of the necessities are provided in the kitchen, so cooking in is no problem. The thing we appreciated the most was the responsiveness of the hosts. They always responded quickly to queries. It was unseasonably hot when we were there, so we asked for a fan. The hosts did not have one immediately available, but went out and bought two the next day. Very helpful.WilliamUnited States

The hotel is right below the abbey. Wifi connection is stable, althought they don't have private parking, but there are many street parking places avaliable right in front of their hotel, free parking from 6pm to next morning 8am during weekday, and also free on Saturday afternoon and Sunday all day.

Also 2-3 minutes of walking from the train station. The Abbey is right about the B&B. I could even see it from the window :) The owner is a very nice person. Very flexible. Breakfast was exceptional.
