The hotel is well equipped, the room was nice. We had especially enquired about parking facilities prior to booking but because of a local festival we were not informed that parking would be difficult and the hotel were not helpful at all. Food was good but expensive. The service we received was sometimes stern and unfriendly and sometimes much better. It may have been language issues but sometimes the requests we received for example on ordering breakfast the evening before or checking out were very peremptory!
Featuring quiet street views, Ferienwohnung Das Nest is located in Schiltach, around 8.7 km from Alpirsbach Abbey. The property has garden and city views, and is 48 km from Ruhestein Ski Jump.

The breakfast is truly amazing, there is so much choice it is unbelievable. This is the best breakfast I have seen and eaten in any hotel I have stayed at in my whole life. The restaurant is immaculate as are the evening meals, very tasty. A family run hotel, in the evening you are served by ladies in traditional Black Forest attire, which makes a very pleasant experience.
We also had garage parking for our motorcycles. I can sincerely highly recommend this hotel. the friendly family make you very welcome.
Located in the centre of Sulgen district of Schramberg, this privately superior hotel offers a fast internet connection via WiFi or cable free of charge.

The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The sort of room when you walk in you're instantly pleased. There was a balcony overlooking the car park but this was not a bad thing, it might not have a view of the lake but I didn't even know I'd got a balcony when I booked. Breakfast was good, there's fresh bread and a toaster, the usual continental breakfast and plenty to go at. Didn't eat again until dinner (pm) time. Big car park and you're right in the Black Forest region. I had stayed in Wolfach before and just wanted to be right in the forest rather than in a town - this ticked the box and then some. Huge shower, lovely modern and spacious bathroom. Food was excellent - not one person in our group was disappointed and we have varying tastes. Owners were lovely, very welcoming and staff were polite and professional. Absolutely will book again.
This 4-star hotel features a large spa centre with 10 different saunas and an indoor pool. It lies in Lauterbach, surrounded by the scenic Black Forest countryside.

Great quiet location, surrounded by beautiful nature! Friendly staff, good food, exceptional breakfast buffet and a nice large spa area with saunas and pool. We stayed only one night, but will definitely come again.

The hotel is completely secluded off the main road with plenty of parking. The pools are warm and inviting. Included in the room price was a five course dinner which was very acceptable. All in all a good hotel and we’re sure to return.
We were a bit puzzled by this place. The town is extremely picturesque with beautiful houses and little laneways. It seems the perfect location for cafes and little craft or artshops, but there’s nothing there of that kind and the town felt a bit lifeless to be honest.

We only spent one evening in Schiltach, walking around, visiting the historical museum, and eating at a gourmet restaurant, so I cannot say much about activities. We have a tight schedule, so the time we spent was good for us. But I would have been happy to have another day to enjoy the place and visit more of the museums, which are small but free of charge.

It's a lovely small village without all the oversea tourists. Not a lot in English but everyone was helpful. The use of a Konos card for free public transport for the area was great as we didn't have a car.

Schiltach is a stunningly beautiful and charming little town. From here you can get to Europa-Park, Strasbourg or Baden-Baden within an hour or two on the train, or hike in the black forest. By far, the best thing to do here is the Hirschgrund Zipline. Everyone in this town is extremely friendly and make it a pleasant and relaxing place to visit.

What a lovely find this area was.
What a lovely find this area was. It was the only place we stayed 2 nights on our Europe travels. Fabulous outdoor swimming pool nearby and plenty of other places to visit that we still didn't have time for. We did go to Aquademie at the Hansgrohe (showers and taps) factory in the village. An unusually great free place to visit and test out all those different shower head flows!
The village has still retained its wonderful German character with amazing buildings - just don't tell everyone as we don't want too many tourists to find out! We'll be back!
The Adler is an historic yet recently updated hotel. It is clean, tastefully decorated, and well-cared for. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean. We loved all the windows and the natrual light. The room rate included breakfast which was freshly prepared each morning. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent--the chef is creative and the food was fresh and delicious. The proprietors were friendly, responsive, helpful, and interested in ensuring we had a pleasant stay.
The daily breakfast was delicious and a wonderful start to our days.
The accommodations were lovely and comfortable, with a nice bathroom, desk area, lounge area and comfortable sleeping.
The historic aspect was charming and unique - it felt like a very special place.
We enjoyed a fantastic gourmet evening dinner in the upscale Adler Restaurant - even if you don't stay in the hotel, go to the restaurant! It was a complete treat!
Lovely traditional guest house in stunning location overlooking the cobbled market square (which is utterly un-buggy and wheelchair friendly by the way!). The dinner menu was limited, but it was still the best (well, the only, really) option in town. The three burgers we had were fabulous - homemade and absolutely delicious. Schiltach is beautiful - well worth a few hours or an overnight stay.
The hotel is beautiful, modern renovation but in keeping with the overall style. Our room was fantastic, large, comfortable and clean. You can unload your car right in front of the hotel and then park in the nearby public carpark, so it’s suitable for people who travel by car. Managers/owners very friendly and helpful. I fully recommend to book the restaurant, the food is fantastic.
Beautiful, spacious rural apartment in the Black Forest region where it was easy to relax and unwind. There is a lovely deck with sweeping views. The well stocked kitchenette allowed us to prepare a meal or two in. The bathroom shower was amazing. We walked to Schiltach via forest paths in ~1 hour with options for extended hiking if you please.
Fantastic, modern hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Very welcoming owners! No on-site parking, but street parking spaces are available for free behind the inn. The chef at the hotels' in-house restaurant is truly spectacular. Food is thoughtfully and creatively prepared. Best meal we've had in four years of living in Germany! Highly recommend!
We loved out stay in this cute town and hotel. The owner is very kind and makes you feel welcome. Don’t miss his food for dinner. He is Michelin star quality chef! Amazing food! The rooms are very nice and have everything you need. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
The location is really nice - not in the town center, but not too far away from it. Therefore, you don't have a lot of noise from the area. In addition, the facilities inside the property were also very nice. All in all, a very nice place to stay. I would go back if I were to stay in Schiltach.
I felt like I was home and had the best food of my life. Staff was very friendly, speak English, and my room was CRISP clean every single morning. Highly unexpected to find service and a room like this in Schiltach. If you're coming here, don't think twice about booking.
Lots of space, a full kitchen, access to a laundry, and a great location in a quiet residential area within easy walking distance of the centre of Schiltach, which is a delightful town in the centre of the Black Forest. Very helpful hosts who are fluent in English.
This hotel was superb! Super friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful room with all mod cons. I was able to park my motorcycle right outside the hotel. Excellent location. The breakfast was amazing.
The studio was very comfortable and has all amenities. Parking was free and secured. Perfect place if you’re doing a lot of hikes and visiting tourist destinations from schiltach.
Great hotel in my favorite town in Germany. The food is amazing. The room was comfortable and very clean. Highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.
