This place is a little gem. The host Edgar was very friendly sharing his travel stories. The food and local wine were wonderful. This is an older style hotel but it is well looked after. If you prefer a quieter place to stay, this is it. Note, there are no lifts (as expected for an older and more authentic style hotel). If it did have lifts, it would spoil this lovely place.

Great location on the hills about 4km above the Rhein. If you are looking for a good base for walking along and around the Rhein valley, it’s perfect.
The hotel itself is quite modern inside with a lovely bar and restaurant area. Outside is a lovely terrace with overhead blinds and great views of the surrounding countryside.
We opted for dinner, bed and breakfast which is recommended as there didn’t appear to be anywhere else nearby to eat. However, dinner was absolutely superb and well worth the additional €27 each.
We’d also chosen a small double room and it was very spacious.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
