We were warmly greeted by the lovely Christiane 💖 Her beautiful, good energy and open heart made us welcome immediately. She adviced us to a destination which we didn't even know 🥰The room was spacious and newly renovated while keeping it's original charm. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a fridge and a kettle with complimentary coffee, water and biscuits. Everything was thought of💗☕ There is a Spar market just around the corner and free parking. It was a wonderful stay, we will definitely come back again to explore the area more 🌻

It was quite an experience to stay in this ancient townhouse, right next to the castle. Both the building and our room were antique, but well maintained. We especially enjoyed the large and comfortable bed, and the ancient-looking bathtub. Breakfast was phenomenal, with many locally produced items, and the restaurant affiliated with the hotel is worth a visit in its own right. Our evening was spend enjoying the produce of a local brewery out on the patio, on a perfectly calm spring day. In the morning, we decided to take a leisurely stroll around the castle grounds, before traveling onwards towards the coast, a mere fifteen minutes away.
We found the staff mostly very young but very helpful, and everyone we spoke to was fluent in English. They let us park right outside our room, though there is also a large car-park one house over for use by visitors to the castle. The cobbled streets are very unusual in these parts but help slow down traffic, and the entire area is meticulously maintained and well worth a visit. Overall, a very pleasant and unique experience.

Løgumkloster has an enormous, former Cistercian convent church with a fine tradition for church music, this no doubt linked to the "official" school of church music in the town. Apart from the retreats and other "lecture"/workshop arrangements held at the Løgumkloster Refugium there isn't much to do in the town - except to enjoy the peace and quiet, and go to nearby Møgeltønder and Tønder.
