The location is a slice of paradise, soo calm and serene. Everything is beautiful kept, with a personal touch. We had a spacious bungalow with our own tropical garden and a little beach. We would wake up every morning hearing the staff softly singing as they go to do they're work. The water is crystal clear. Small but excellent snorkelling area. At low tide you can walk to the corals and watch the colourful fishes, don't need to snorkel. The tropical forest behind is enchanting with tropical flowers and a beautiful sent drifting out. The People(the staff) were probably the best part, soo super friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to please every little wishes of you. They brought and cooked bread fruit for me from the village, just for me, because I said I wish I could taste it. Such a special place !!!!! soo much love !!!!! Also, the bar is well stocked, the food is excellent a many choices.

The locals were wonderfully friendly and attentive, they genuinely seemed happy to have us in their midst. The location on a fantastic white sand beach is quite stunning. We enjoyed swimming and snorkelling from the beach. We had a great walk up to the phone tower with fantastic views across the islands in all directions. We really enjoyed the Sawa-i-lau caves, which are a 20 minute boat ride away. Swimming into the second cave and exploring it was a remarkable experience. Note the caves are closed on Sundays, open 8 am - 12 noon Mon to Sat. Hospitality was great, we ate our meals in different houses around the village, often shared with other homestay guests. We joined in a kava ceremony one evening which was entertaining. Accommodation is basic as you would expect, a spartan but comfortable beach front bure, our own toilet and shower in a shack close by. Shower was a bit of a warm trickle but did the job at the end of the day. Food was basic but tasty, very carb heavy, you may want to practice politely declining seconds. We drank plenty of local water with no ill effects. We also visited a couple of the resorts in the Yasawas and a few days at a homestay made a great contrast and really enriched the whole trip. We travelled on the Yasawa Flyer which worked well, the connection to the homestay was easy. We booked individual transfers between the islands ourselves rather than using the multi day pass, which was a lot cheaper in our case. We bought 500g of kava root in Nadi before leaving for the islands as our sevusevu, it keeps for a few days no problem.

It was very nice stay! Emily is very kind and helpful. It was comfortable, we met new friends there. No internet connection is a big adventage there! Food was a little bit poor (no protein) and portions were small, but you can always ask about more :) It was a great stay :)

We so enjoyed the view and peacefulness of the surrounds, The cottage huts were simple but perfectly fine with all basic needs. Cold showers but can manage that in the climate. We were able to explore surrounds as we desired via walking or kayak and boat. For us I have to say engaging with the family was an absolute highlight. Playing and interacting with the children was such fun. They even walked with us to show us their school and church and shared there bit of paradise with us.. also teaching us Fijian words and even a song. Evelyn and Toki were wonderful hosts , Evelyn Keeping us well fed and organising our snorkeling trip and transfers. Toki faciltating our snorkeling trips ( and even providing a ladder for rentry to boat. Most grateful for... Thanks Toki. )Nothing was a trouble for Evelyn even as she is busy with running a family and businees.. We also very much enjoyed meeting some new friends in fellow guests.. feel very fortunate to have had such a lovely experience. Ili, John and Maria were just lovely. There was no pressure to do local activities, and they left you to do what you wanted. The bungalow was simple but perfectly comfortable. The solar light for nighttime was great and I didn't miss having no electricity in the room. Food was plentiful and varied. A great place to chill out and switch off. Such a happy place and people.

It was in a beautiful location, I was in a dorm alone (mainly because there was not a door handle or lock on the bathroom door so it wouldn’t stay closed and I questioned this) It was quiet, the food was good.
