It was close to the airport, an area of hugely expensive hotel rooms. We were quoted over £40 just for a prebooked taxi ride, so opted to pick up our hire car earlier instead with our late scheduled flight. That turned out to be a mistake as we got to our room almost 2 hours following our arrival. Travelodge I expected to have a basic room, clean and functional and good value, but without the facilities of the 4 star hotels. Our room was as expected but at just under £200, which was low for the area, rightly or wrongly I really expected more. Check-in was quick and efficient.

This central Dublin hotel is situated on Harcourt St. off the south west corner of St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin City Centre. All major attractions are within walking distance of the hotel.

On-street parking close by was good. The receptionists was very friendly and the decor in reception and the breakfast room/bar was also very good. My mother's bedroom was close to a lift (as requested) and her room was nice Breakfast was also generous, well stocked and tasty
