we went in rainy season (late may) so not the smartest of us. however the one sunny day we had we went to the beach and how wonderful. the beauty of okinawa especially up north is unparalleled and when you get to experience it firsthand it is breathtaking. i wish we could have gone to yanbaru! I recommend a couple things: -dye workshop at BOTANICA (indigo and natural dye of natural fibres clothing shawl bag or something you bring) run by a family near the Nakijin castle (also great recommendation) -Biking along the coast (its not for the faint hearted but its so rewarding) -nago museum (great history and natural history emphasizing unity of nature and people and cultural history of pre japan ryuku kingdom -okinawa soba! satchan soba is great, get the pork rib or sanmainiku -captain kangaroo hamburger for GIANT JUICY BURGER -fishing port teishoku restaurant for tuna or mixed fish don -hanhanmoomani korean restaurant in central nago, sosososos good and most friendly staff! -inno coffee shop -nago municipal market (grocery store and a delicious sweets store beside it) -ryujin shrine(osehara ryujin on google maps): stray cats supported by people and organizations in nago, hermit crabs with a shell shrine, the most peaceful a mystical area -hubcycle okinawa (bike rental, contact them because they say closed wednesday but they are actually open )

Nago has a lot of amazing hiking trails. If you love hiking, pls stay here. Access to nearby famous islands, near enough when you have a rental car. Beautiful beaches and parks surrounding Nago. Parasailing / ATV and Diving activities in the area too. Lots of discount stores and supermarket and 24 hours fast food chains such as A&W and Macdonald around.

The view of northern Okinawa is absolutely stunning, it gives us the feeling of peaceful. We could drive to the town in a very short distance from the hotel. There are great variety of appetites available in town. Liked that it was away from the noisy city. However took time driving up and down from Naha to Nago. Be prepared to pay a lot of tolls and gas. Didnt find many awesome places to eat but I was fine eating at Lawsons everyday

Host is very friendly, we actually wanted to stay just for a few nights and luckily were able to extend the stay. The Beach is just in front of the appartement. Also the restaurant underneath is a must try! Very nice staff and delicious food. Free parking, a/c in every room, lot of kitchen items to cook, big shower. Items for snorkeling and beach activitiesare provided. We will definitely stay here again as soon as we are back in Okinawa! Thanks for the stay!

There is an evening cafe outside, right near the beach which offers some limited drinks, but this is sufficient to relax and enjoy the sunset. Bus shuttle stop (directions to the airport and aquarium) is right next to the hotel.

The paid onsen was fantastic. Excellent breakfast options (even had ice creams and a doughnut wall) Great that they allow people with tattoos with no issues.
