The room was HUGE, as was the bathroom. We had so much space, and a great view. A juice was provided on arrival which was a nice touch as well. The host was super helpful in organising a tuk tuk for us when we wanted to go visit our friends down the road. The location is only about a 5-10 minute drive from the park entrance, which is super convenient as well.

What a beautiful and tranquil place!! We had a glorious couple of days at Wild Lake Side. Milan and his brother were such fantastic and accommodating hosts. They arranged an amazing safari for us with a very knowledgeable guide. We also went fishing on the lake which was such a laugh and so much fun. The cabin itself was stunning and so comfortable with all the amenities we could need. The location was beyond beautiful, waking up to the sound of the jungle is an unforgettable experience. Milan also showed us around his spice garden and organised our onwards transport to Ella with Duminda who was the best taxi driver we've had!! Thank you so much for an amazing stay, see you next time!

The property has 5 rooms with another 5 being built making 10 rooms in total. It has a lovely sense of community. The food is very nicely presented and staff can cater for all tastes. The bed was comfortable, The a/c worked. There was hot water. The property is near to the national park (5mins). The swimming pool was welcoming. Staff were very attentive.

Lovely en-suite bedroom with shower room, two double beds, small hanging cupboard and dressing table. Drinking water readily available and owner will make freshly brewed (proper) coffee or tea whenever you want. Fantastic breakfast of freshly cut local fruit, yogurt, perfect omelet, pancakes if required. I had dinner both nights and do not even think of going anywhere else. Mama Dia cooked what I can only describe as some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! Gayan is a super host and I booked my safari with him. He has a magnificent safari vehicle and he is a superb guide. The property is right next to the entrance to the park yet in rural peace and quiet. He also enabled my visit to the elephant transit house 20 minutes away and he arranged my onward taxi to Ella. I stayed for 2 nights but wish I’d stayed longer.

Buddika is a very pleasant and attentive host. When we arrived in the evening, he treated us to a sour-sop smoothie, and when we returned from the safari, he offered us refreshing papaya juice. The room is very clean with a view of the park. It's just a couple of minutes to the park, which is very convenient for heading out on safari in the morning. We booked the safari through Buddika, and everything was great. We had a private jeep, and our driver, Udar, spotted animals that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise and told us a lot about the animals and plants.
