The location was beautiful as it’s in the heart of the jungle. There is lots of wildlife and they have very cute puppies which Mira takes wonderful care of. The young man working there was also very nice and helpful. The room we were moved to was wonderful and quite comfortable and private. The next morning they helped arrange a taxi for us which was great as we had a long journey.

If you are visiting Kataragama, I strongly recommend The Grand Tamarind (TGT). The room was big, the linen was exquisite, the breakfast was delicious and big, and the staff everywhere were friendly and most professional. The location of TGT is strategic being so close to the Dēvālē and Kiri Vehera, and a short drive from it we were able to visit Yala Sanctuary and Situlpawwa rock temple. If I visit Kataragama again, TGT will be my choice for accommodation.

Everything goes very nice and happy ...staff gave good support and service..very nice comfortable place its very near to town and the Temple so no any rush for Traveling around...nice Yala Safari they arranged us..very nice and EXPERT Driver on this cause, his very tactical and gave us nice travel in the YALA Forest...he showed us the Sri Lankan Tiger its very hard to find but he put his all talent to succeed that challenge ...all staff very nice..thanks
