First of all, great hosts. Very hospitable and helpful. The house is very large and fully equipped. The house has two terraces, there is also a parking space. We had a great time there. I recommend!. I cordially greet the wonderful hosts.

All the good restaurants are outside Esponsende - mainly in Apulia. A nice little hike or short taxi ride. Bridge to Fao needs some TLC, at least if you walk over it. Fantastic views, but the rusty bits on the footpath high above the water are somewhat anxiety-inducing (and I even heard that from experienced Camino walkers ...) Would not walk over a second time ...

Esposende was one of the best places to stay that we have had on this trip for the Camino de Santiago. The people that run the hotel are wonderful and very friendly. Everything is very clean and they have a great lounge with a good kitchen to make what you want. I would recommend them and their rooms to anyone going to that area.

We thought everybody had left town.
We thought everybody had left town. The whole place was strangely quiet and deserted. We struggled to find an open place to eat. It was early September. A lot of derelict buildings.
Just about good enough for a one night Camino stopover.

We are an elderly couple who have been to the area many times since 1975 and never tire of it. It has not suffered overdevelopment like many other resorts. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the food and laid back style . The surrounding area such as Ponte de Lima is superb so a car enhances the experience.

Esposende is a nice little town and a cool spot for kitesurfing. When I was there it was quiet and relaxing. I couldn't find amazing places for lunch or dinner actually, but some nice local patisseries instead. Having said that, there is some offer, just not to the level I was hoping. The coast is nice, the wind strong, people are nice too, and it is very close to other nice towns in the north of Portugal

Very nice place with nice sea and the special cakes from Fao. If you are in Esposende you have definitely to go to get some "Clarinhas de Fão". Fão is on the south bank of the river. You can find them in a very small "pastelaria".
Decent sized room, clean and tidy with a comfy bed. The shower/bathroom facilities were very new so really clean and in perfect working order. There was a well equip kitchen with a coffee machine for anyone requiring that. A nice bonus was the delightful sunny garden/terrace at the rear with tables and chairs. It's a bit of a walk to the centre of Esposende but then again it's not advertised as being in the town!
The hotel was situated in a beautiful and peaceful location in a pine forest close to the sea. The pool and pool area was fantastic and the bar served lunch and snacks through the day. The reception and bar staff were absolutely delightful - so helpful and friendly. The whole place has a retro vibe that we really enjoyed. Lots of space. Great value for money. We would definitely go again.
This was a beautiful guest house, a real oasis just steps from the Camino trail. The room was bright, spacious and well appointed. Anita went well above and beyond in making sure her guests had everything they needed. And she is a fantastic cook! I highly recommend staying here.
Stayed here one night while cycling the Portuguese Camino. Owner was enthusiastic and allowed us to park our bikes in the garage overnight. They have a free clothes washer and ample space on the courtyard for your clothes to dry. Highly recommend to my Camino friends!
The location was fantastic -just across the road from the beach. The facility was excellent with a pool - a rare commodity. It was very relaxing with many areas to just sit back and relax. The bartender would find where ever you decided to relax - inside or outside.
Great hotel. Beautifully laid out - great amenities. Room was excellent. Location on the beach was wonderful. The reception staff were great and most helpful. The included breakfast was superb! One of the best value hotels we’ve ever stayed at!
The head waiter was excellent and very accommodating as I was exhausted after a 10 hr cycle. The hotel room and breakfast excellent, even had a small courtyard off room. Slept very well, beds so comfortable and clean
The location was much further out than a 10 minute walk from Esposende bus station but worth the walk.
The accommodation was even nicer in reality than the photos. Very relaxed vibe and beautiful views.
This guesthouse is on the Camino , near the bridge to Esposende . Clean, bright new and with a common kitchen with washing machine and dryer , a very useful facility for pilgrims.
stay here if you can. amazingly beautiful place, calm, breakfast is incredible, hosts some of the nicest we’ve met. one of the best boutique hotels ever.
