Room was amazing. Exceptionally clean. Great views. Breakfast selection was superb - only problem the hot selection was luke warm, or cold. However, if you order fried eggs or omelettes, they are cooked to order and are delivered to your table hot, but bacon, tomato, hash browns etc. to accompany were cold! We ate in the hotel restaurant for 2 nights and it was incredible.
Overlooking the Sagres fort and the lighthouse of Cape St Vicent, Pousada de Sagres enjoys a beautiful cliff-top location along the Atlantic Ocean.

The location/view was magnificent overlooking the atlantic ocean. Sunset was magical - only even seen sunsets over the pacific/indian ocean, so bucket list ticked off. Room was spacious enough for the two of us.

The location for me was perfect. A few minutes walk from the bus stop and local Spar Supermarket. But more than that, the Protected area of headland for the beautiful sunrise and a bird’s eye view of Sagres and Moreta beach.

Loved Sagres. Very quiet and laid back. Great atmosphere everywhere with locals and tourists alike. Had some lovely meals, nice walks, hardly any traffic, a joy to quietly unwind in.
I would highly recommend Sagres time apartments. Lovely pool area, very well kept, quiet & relaxing. Apartment clean and spacious. Nice big balcony. Staff were wonderful. Highly recommend. Everywhere we ate we enjoyed it very much. Sagres is very walkable. No need for a car.

Sagres is at the very western tip of the Algarve and has few retired expats and no package holiday makers. Its a small Portugese community with lots of young people and independent travellers who mix well and many come to surf and walk. Its got some great bars along the top of Mareta beach and people come here to do their own thing, enjoy the wild and rugged Atlantic coastline and the towns like Carrapateira, Bordeira and Aljezur

A great laid back, small, surfing resort, suitable for families, couples and individual travellers. You can get there on busses from the airport at Faro, changing in Lagos, although hiring a car would be much quicker.
The beaches, bars and restaurants are all great but the sea is quite cold, so bring a wetsuit.
You can hire bodyboards, surfboards and wetsuits on the main surfing beach at Tonel.
You can also hire bikes from local shops and cycle out to the lighthouse at Cabo da Sao Vicente. If you want to go further, there is a track across the cliffs to a local village, Vila do Bispo, although it is hard work against the strong winds, up a steady incline. Allow 2 hours from Sagres but it's much quicker coming back.
The fort is worth a visit, with a circular clifftop walk and a museum.
There is also a path for clifftop walks in Sagres.

Sagres is an amazing place to visit if you are looking for stunning views of the Algarve and the ocean, I would recommend you to go with someone, doesn’t seem REEEEALLY for solo traveling, but it’s up to you. Maybe you find love there.
Also the city is so beautiful and looks like a beach village, which I love when I’m traveling. Run away from the big cities and stuff.
It’s also good for surfing if you are up to.

Sagres is a sanctuary in Nature and the importance that Portugal had in its history at a time when the known world was divided by the Portuguese, Spanish and English courts.
You breathe pure air and feel the ghosts of good people from the past and the hustle and bustle of crowds of sailors and discoverers who set out to sea with joy in their hearts and enough daring to face the unknown.
Sagres means sacred ... Holy ground
For those who have awakened their inner spirit and Love, they will feel beautiful emotions to the point of tears of joy in their eyes.
In short, there is the Algarve with excellent beaches and hotels.
And there are Sagres! A mecca of Biodiversity, Emotions, Love, Spirituality.
It also has the best sunset on Cape S. Vicente.
There is magic and peace in a perfect symbiosis between the sunset and the people who nestle on the cliff in silence until the sun crosses the horizon line into the sea.
A Must to experience in a life time!
This place is just awesome in the most amazing place of Portugal. The staff guys are very friendly. The hostel haves a domestic character with a cosy living room and kitchen with all the equipments you need for cooking. the rooms are very nice with a big plus for the comfortable beds. The garden is really nice and spacious. The hostel / dorms are not so big which helps you to feel like home. I will recommend this to everyone who wants to go to Sagres even if your planning to stay longer you will absolutely feel like home in this property.
The location in Sagres is perfect, at the end of the main street of town, making it easy to walk to all bars and restaurants in the town. There is parking available, which was convenient. The breakfast was included and amazing! The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best dinners I had in all of Sagres. The outdoor and indoor pools are beautiful. There a dry sauna which was so nice. The gym is basic but clean. Yoga was on top floor and had a view of the ocean. The rooms are very nice and clean. Fabio was excellent and knowledgeable.
The heated pool was great for the kids (in March). The apartment was very comfortably arranged with plenty of space. The sofa bed was really great for our kids - this apartment was the only one out of five in Portugal that we stayed in where our kids immediately felt comfortable with their bed (call it feng shui or however else you want, but the kids loved it!). The location is excellent for outdoor sports. They even rent out mountain bikes in the hotel and the area is great for cycling!
The location is just perfect, just above Mareta Beach, with amazing views of the sea. The decor is beach-house simplicity which we love. The room and balcony were extra spacious and also offered amazing views. The pool area has plenty of loungers and even in August was quiet,. We are regular visitors to Sagres and whilst we usually spend the majority of our trips in rental homes, we often start our stay in a hotel - this is one we will definitely return to on our next visit to Sagres.
it’s a house which has safe street parking, beautiful views from balconies, easy walk to centre of Sagres but also to Martinhal beach. views of martinhal and cliffs from upstairs balconies. our Portuguese neighbours were lovely and very friendly when we said hello and explained we were to be their neighbours for a month ( we stayed over Christmas/ new year) . everything is solid and it’s easy to feel relaxed .
EVERYTHING! The apartment was very well thought out with absolutely everything one could need.
It was the perfect base for our family, great location and walking distance to beaches, town, cafes etc. Hosts were really wonderful, helpful and prompt with responses. We have been in Portugal for 10 days and Sagres has been our favourite place.
On the south-western tip of Portugal, where the seafaring galleons had their last look of their beloved country on their dangerous voyages of discovery. An elegant, 50's style Pousada with a lot fewer tourists than other places, like Lagos. Yet the restaurants within walking distance of the pousada had some of the finest fish we've ever tasted.
Sagres Time Apartments is the best location in Sagres. 10 minutes walk around the beach . 5 minutes to restaurants and shop. The room is very clean and comfortable. the staffs are very helpful and friendly. you can have a quiet time with your family. all the best .
The location for me was perfect. A few minutes walk from the bus stop and local Spar Supermarket. But more than that, the Protected area of headland for the beautiful sunrise and a bird’s eye view of Sagres and Moreta beach.
Our room was excellent, with a huge comfy bed, lots of space, and a big bathroom with a powerful show. Very much appreciated all the interior design and little touches. A fantastic option in Sagres.
