We originally booked the bungalow with just a fan, but as it was soooo hot, they let us upgrade to the bungalow with the aircon unit. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was also lovely. It was beautiful waking up to watch the sunrise. Easy to walk to a restaurant /mini mart, otherwise you need a scooter / taxi.

The pool was really good, with a beautiful view out to the sea (across the grounds of the hotel). The room also had a nice view, with a lovely balcony which we used a lot.

We were stay for the night but wish we had booked for much longer, we will definitely be back to explore more of the island as it was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday. We stayed at Santhiya and had such a wonderful time the trip was outstanding, I'd definitely recommend this little slice of paradise.

The food was excellent value for money, both breakfast and dinner. The host was so lovely, really helpful and kind. She organised a long tail boat trip for us to Hong Island and also took us and collected us from the pier. We had a fabulous day thanks to her. She also organised for us to have a massage in our room. She always went above and beyond to help.

A great island, just like other Thai islands used to be before they became too busy with large hotels. Quiet beaches and friendly locals.
The relatively long speed boat journey from Phuket will prevent large groups from visiting: a real positive! Worth taking a trip around the island to discover how the local economy still works.

Lovely place to stay in the middle of the island.
Lovely place to stay in the middle of the island. It has just reopened, so I was the first guest and treated very well!
So great to hear the sound of Nature at night, looking at the stars. If you're lucky, you'll see fireflies.
The place is simple, you get everything you need, the beds are big, confortable, a good night sleep! The hostess is very nice and will help you with everything you need.
Many cats around as the hostess look after them with so much love. Glad to support a business where part of the money goes for animal care.
Thank you! I loved my stay.

We loved our villa. We had a private pool.
We loved our villa. We had a private pool. The resort had 2 more pools, one was infinity and the other one on the beach level. But we didn’t feel the need to go there because of the private pool that we had with the villa.
We had dinner in Chantara restaurant every single night that we stayed the fool was delicious. We eat halal and they provided halal food.
Overall the experience was so good that we are planning a longer trip next year with the whole family.

Exceptional. Amazing. An experience we will never forget.
Exceptional. Amazing. An experience we will never forget. The hotel is so underrated and the pics on the different websites don't give any credit to this place. It's a paradise. All guests we met were had the same review. Rooms are amazing and comfortable. The resort is like a nature reserve. The infinity pool great with spectacular views, you never want to leave. The beach has hammocks. Breakfast and restaurant were lovely. The attention to details was certainly clear. You can also get luck with game viewing (we saw a Water monitor!) - Paradise! Recommended to everyone and anyone.
When I awoke to the beautiful sunrise from my room I was speechless. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished with a view second to none. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Seaside restaurant below, part of the resort, also had the most spectacular views and great choices for breakfast. I also took a group of friends there for dinner one evening and they all enjoyed the location and food immensely. The room was secluded and quiet with the only noise at night from the frogs and cicadas
Spacious comfortable room. Huge bathroom and great view from the balcony and spa bath! We didn’t have a private pool but no problem at all. The neighbouring hotels appear to have teamed up to create the best of all worlds. Great breakfast at Hillside Resort, wonderful beach front pool and delicious beach front restaurants just a short walk away. The room had everything you could possibly wish for right down to the smallest detail. Great stay!
Absolutely great place! Quiet, very tasty breakfasts, private beach and awe-inspiring sunsets! For me the best place to stay on Koh Yao Yai if you like a bit of luxury, but not overpriced and with a bit of local spice. We rented scooter on northern part of island (cheaper then closer to hotel). Also - small gym, but almost always empty. If you need to do cardio or small workout - great. A place to chill. We'll be back for sure. Can't wait :)
Firstly, the rooms are lovely and clean and have stunning views of the sea and Koh Yao Noi. It is a good location to stay for a tranquil time on the island. The manager is one of the nicest people we’ve met in Thailand: making sure we’re safe, giving us lifts to the restaurant, staying to make dinner after we forgot to eat until 9pm. We also rented motorbikes from here to explore the island, it was so quick and easy to do, highly recommend!
might have been our favourite hotel during our Thailand trip, spacious huts with big veranda and open air bathroom, the whole complex has a very nice jungle feeling to it, it feels super peaceful, they even put up little signs for the wild animals living there :) great food too! Try the banana roti for breakfast. Also you can watch the colibris/ hummingbird during breakfast in between the plants which was so nice :)
Beautiful location, love how old and wooden the place was. Honestly one of the best place I have stayed at due to the location and vibe. We rented motorcycles and discovered the island. Service was fine though some people did not simply understood English which I think where the confusion is coming from in the many bad reviews this place has. Loved the nature, monkeys, sunsets, and the food was not bad for a resort.
I was very satisfactic. Definitely quiete place, only sound of jungle, amazing sleeping.
I stayed in something like a tent, but it was wonderfull. Every where nets agains for insekt.
Accomadation is similar like capmping, but I love it.
It was my one of the best acomodation in Thailand.
Free bottle of water and coffie every day
so had a clean bungalow with great working air conditioning. The pool is right on the beach and has a restaurant with a big menu for easy convenience. The staf are super friendly and always check on you. Overall one of my favorite stays in Thailand by far. Would recommend to everybody!
We loved our stay here! I think the resort is nicer than the pictures depict. The pool was a lot of fun and the grounds were well kept up. Breakfast each morning was nice and lots of options. Our hotel room was beautiful and had a great view.
The staff was amazing. Sleeping in the tent was so peaceful and unique. The resort is a bit away from the central area of Koh Yao Yai, but this is no problem because motorbikes are available for rent!
Very nice resort with rooms looking out on the beach and pool right outside the balcony. I left something in my room and very much appreciated the efforts of the hotel to return it to me.
By far the best hotel I’ve ever been to! Amazingly luxurious and the surroundings are to die for. The bathtub on the balcony overlooking the jungle and the sea… I must come back!!
the property is very new, excessively clean and gorgeous. might be the nicest owners of a hotel I ever met, very kind and the service was A++++ I would 100% stay here again.
Place has seen it's better days. Restaurant okay for breakfast. No bar or pool bar. Half the hotel is shut down. Was okay place for the price and location is perfect.
