The room exceeded all expectations, boasting spaciousness and modern amenities, with the highlight being the fantastic bathtub – the bathroom itself was simply outstanding, bright, and generously sized, perfect for preparing for the carnival festivities. The complimentary access to the gym was a welcome addition, although I regretfully didn't find the time to fully utilize it. One of the standout features of my stay was the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness of the room, which was consistently maintained throughout my time at the hotel. Scorial features a rooftop terrace with 2 swimming pools and panoramic views of Rio. It is located just 2 blocks from Flamengo Beach and 1 block from Largo do Machado Subway Station. Great find in the Catete area of Rio de Janeiro, close to the Flamengo Beach area and loads of local restaurants and bars just a couple minute walk away. It was a good choice for a quieter stay on one of the back streets in the area and not too busy with traffic, and Uber available within a couple of minutes. Really comfortable double bed, really great breakfast, hotel is popular with local Brazilian business travelers. They have a really great rooftop area with a pool and sitting area that looks straight towards the sunset on the 11th floor with uninterrupted views right up to Christ the Redeemer as an added bonus. I'll stay here again if passing through Rio!

Hotel Rio Claro er í 200 metra fjarlægð frá Rio de Janeiro Catete-neðanjarðarlestarstöðin er í 600 metra fjarlægð frá Praia do Flamengo-ströndinni. Wifi was good enough to run a Zoom meeting. The staff was friendly and very helpful even though I didn't speak Portuguese. The room was small but comfortable. GREAT location! Really safe part of Rio, very close to the beach and metro. The breakfast was charming and it was so lovely to get to have that every morning.
