The rooms are very nicely prepared - we had a two-story room with a spacious bathroom incl whirlpool. Eating at the Roanwirt is also really nice (typical Austrian cuisine). The sauna area is not the biggest, but it was never crowded. The staff are tremendously forthcoming and friendly. In the area, you can hike up to Pogusch and have amazing views of the mountains.

Etmissl was a lovely small village to stay in. The people there were all very friendly. We got lucky and stumbled upon a Maypole celebration that was incredible to watch. The meals in the restaurant were spectacular (e.g. wild garlic ravioli with morel mushrooms in a cream sauce or the lake trout on a bed of stinging nettle risotto). We ate there twice in two days. And one of the owners made a point of coming over to us during the Maypole celebration to explain what the tradition was all about for them.

Staff knew English which is an exception in Austria, both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

The breakfast here is outstanding! Faultless! The variety, quality and freshness of the food and drinks on offer was astonishing, and this high standard is maintained throughout the property. Our room was spotless, and extremely user-friendly. The obvious attention to detail with the finish of everything made our stay incredibly comfortable. A fabulous restaurant is on site, if you don't want to go into town (5 minutes down the road). Access to the motorway is also just minutes away. The location is ideal for the Red Bull Ring which is 30 minutes by car from here, and Bruck an der Mur is very pretty. We would highly recommend :) Incredible value for money!

Amazing staff. So helpful and kind and personal service. Breakfast and lunch was so delicious They did an amazing job remodeling this property and combining the old with the new. It was way more than I had expected!
