Set in Guilin and with Guilin Railway Station reachable within 600 metres, Travel light inn Guilin offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and... It is clean, there is laundry service, the staff even help do laundry for us, and help us book taxi for early in the morning check out, close to a lot of food shops, and they’re very delicios and cheap

Located in Yangshuo, The Bamboo Leaf Yangshuo offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. We booked the corner room which was spacious and super comfortable! Location is quiet and a shirt walk or shuttle into the main town. Staff we very friendly and the restaurant served western food (which one may crave after a while)

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel boasts a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 2 km from downtown Guilin. The location is very quiet and relaxing. The hotel is located in a cute little village, walking distance from the reed flute caves and there are many options for nice walks along the river. The hotel is very beautiful and the staff very helpful and friendly. We also did a tour organised by the hotel staff and it was superb.

This hotel was just perfect for our weekend in Yangshuo, out of the busy city and only 15min away by scooter (available from the hotel). Very quiet and beautifully arranged. River view room was very nice, breakfast is just what we needed and the staff was really kind and fulfil all our requests: book the scooter, activity recommendations and bookings. We highly recommend moon hike / the light show / river bamboo rafting.

Surrounded amidst impressive Karst mountains, Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is located at the edge of Yulong River. Free WiFi access is available. Free parking space is offered. Absolutely incredible views from the front garden (and front facing rooms). Beautiful view of the river and the staff were so attentive when I was out there in the day (putting the fan and parasol on) or in the evening if there was a bit of rain (putting the umbrella up). The food was the best I have had in China so far- and they did brilliant vegetarian food. I am learning Chinese and the staff at the hotel helped me to practise. Very close by (10 mins walk) from one of the rafting locations. The room was nice and comfortable- great AC.

Li River Resort is situated on the west bank of Li River and offers a relaxing retreat in Chinese-style accommodation. Perfect location with really great views to the mountains. The host was very supportive, they took very good care of our staying. Highly recommended

Excellent location next to Rong Lake. Beautiful room with a relaxing tea room in the room, great for relaxing, reading a book and enjoying tea. Very clean hotel full of antiques from different dynasties as this hotel was previously a museum. Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy walks around the property. Good Chinese breakfast too. Real value for money!

Located in Yangshuo, 4.6 km from Darongshu Scenic Area, Lanshan Moon Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.
