Location was ideal for visiting other places and a beautiful setting especially the sunrise on a good day... comfortable, relaxing house and room, very quiet...hosts Ben and V were very welcoming and nothing was too much if needed anything . breakfast was fab especially the toast...lovely local pub within walking distance The Pheasant inn... great value for money would definitely book again.

Lovely welcome from the owners.Plus as it was my partner's birthday a card & chocolate,a much appreciated touch. .A real family atmosphere. We will certainly return.

A 5-minute walk from Bassenthwaite Lake, this Victorian country guest house has forest and fells views and offers chic bedrooms, free high speed WiFi throughout the property. Beautiful setting,we had a wonderful view from our window. Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty. Our host and hostess were very friendly and helpful with advice about the area and lent us an extensive map of the area. There was an issue with the heating, they provided backup heaters and a nice bottle of wine for the inconvenience.
