Nestled on the shores of Loch Lein, The Lake Hotel has magnificent mountain views. Just 2km from Killarney, a restaurant and the hotel has en suite rooms. the location at the side of the lake was wonderful, lovely walk to Muckross abbey and Muckross house. The hotel is amazing, open fires, great atmosphere with old style furniture, sitting areas, bar. Grounds are lovely, I saw some deer. Its worth having a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and had some other meals there as well which were also good.

The service was too notch, friendly, professional and accommodating. Their breakfast, which was included with our room, was fantastic. They give you a menu of options from which you order, instead of having a buffet. they were extra accommodating of my kids, who were still hungry after eating the breakfast that was included (not the hotels fault, my kids are just bottomless pits). The hotel gave them additional sausages and eggs for free, when it should have been charged since it was extra. The room was very clean, the beds very comfortable. We stayed in a family room that had three beds, and it was incredibly spacious. parking was easy and convenient, right outside the hotel.
