Located in Barga, Il Ciocco Hotel features barbecue facilities, terrace and free WiFi throughout the property. There was fire flies and gluten free/ vegetarian options. The staff were amazingly friendly. I would highly recommend. Rent ebikes they are very good value for money

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, Albergo Genzianella is immersed in the Apuan Alps national park, 5 km from Careggine. This mountain-style hotel offers rooms with wooden walls and a TV. The hosts were incredibly hospital; producing a meal even though the restaurant was closed and guiding us the next day with our walk.

Dating back to 1924, the impressive Villa Moorings is 700 metres from Barga Cathedral. It features a 3000 m² garden with swimming pool, sun terrace and gazebos. We loved this villa from early 1900s with its remarkable Art Nouveau decor and furnishings, large rooms, including a terrace for the buffet breakfast, a lovely garden setting a short walk from central Barga, safe parking, and a great welcome from the staff, notably Nadia and Beatrice. When we left something important behind Beatrice organized a courier to send it to us at our next location, for which we were very grateful. It would be a pleasure to stay again.

Set on a hillside overlooking the medieval town of Barga, Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa features an outdoor pool and modern spa. The hotel is situated on the hill top with beautiful views on Tuscany, surrounded by park and forest. It is beautiful, big hotel, consists of many buildings/wings. There is a pool, restaurant, and breakfast is held also outside on the terrace with amazing view. The breakfast is rich, various options also for vegan, gluten free or other diets. Room was beautiful, stylish, big, clean with coffee machine and with the balcony overlooking the valley. Very helpful and friendly staff, free parking is available but it is quite difficult to find it at first (especially in the evening). It was really an amazing stay.

Hotel Restaurant La Lanterna is situated in a quite area, few minutes from the historical centre of this pleasant town in the Garfagnana region. Big quiet room, while party was held at the restaurant. no noise in the room. nice garden, good breakfast. helpfull and friendly staff. nice location

The location is incredible, the village is half way up in the mountain and it was nice and cool in the middle of the summer. The view is amazing as, being perched half way up, you see the slopes of the maritime alps and the sea. Food is exceptional both in quality and quantity so we absolutely recommend, if you are in doubt, book the dinner and save space. Staff was really amazing, my husband was in grutches and they made it possible to be located next to the elevator.

Hotel The Marquee is surrounded by a large furnished garden with swimming pool and sun loungers. It is located a 5-minute drive from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, in the Tuscan countryside. The owner is very kind, pleasant attentive and helpful gentlemen. Good breakfast and service overall.
