This hotel is in a very convenient place - right next to the pier, a shop and a cafe. It is easy, as when you get to the island, you do not need to get a taxi and can easily rent a motorbike close to the hotel. We booked the hotel for 3 nights and then booked for three more. The room has Netflix and Youtube, they also provided an additional bed for our 4 year old. The ladies provided water and clean towels every day and cleaned the room once in two days. We are not fancy travelers, we really enjoyed the stay and also Koh Samet.

The resort is very nice, the rooms are in a tropical garden setting. Breakfast is good, restaurant has a good choice of Thai and western foods. The beach belongs to the hotel, with some disadvantages, more below. There are beach massages on offer, both sides of the resort, on the pathways in and out. I enjoyed the daily outside massage a lot. The booked room was too small actually, but the good bed made up for that! I slept very well. All in all, if I'd come back to Koh Samet this resort would be my preferred choice!

Very nice room with a very good bed. The bathroom should be renovated. But great for a short stay as the location is excellent. It is a very small boutique hotel. I felt very well. 3 nights on the small island of Koh Samet are enough to see everything. Beaches are very beautiful, the water is crystal clear, the sand is snow white and Ao Wai Beach, located a little south, can be reached in 15 minutes by scooter, in my opinion it can compete with the best beaches in Thailand and I've been almost everywhere

It was our 4-th stay here. I think its the best hotel/resort on Koh Samet tho. The price is a little bit high, but its worth it. Breakfast was good, like in many 4-star hotels. The beach is clean, sand is white, water is crystal blue. And the bonus is another quiet beach on the other side of hotel, that was very quiet . We liked it the most. The beach bar is good too!!! they have coffee/food during the day, and dinner options and fire show in the evening ! 7/11 is 3 min walk from the property.

the location to the beach about 2 minutes. 2 7/11 next door, bars straight outside hotel. I loved the balcony . it is exactly what I expect and want from a trip to Thailand not over elaborate. I want to feel like I was in Thailand and koh samet does and this accommodation is the cherry on top. I been to Thailand 17 times ( stayed many hotels) this is top 3 for what I personally desire! the pictures on booking .com are exactly what you get for a change.

The location of this resort is amazing, right at one of the beaches of Koh Samet. The resort offers a nice terrace and beach beds were you can chill and relax (without paying for the beach beds). They offer a wide variety of menu items, basically what you would expect in Thailand. The staff was friendly. The rooms were basic but contained everything what you would need.

The hotel was absolutely perfect for us. The rooms were beautiful and in a premium location. Beds were comfy and the area is quite calm, so we could sleep perfectly at night. Breakfast had quite a lot of options and cocktails at the bar were spectacular. We will come back for sure next time we are at Koh Samet!

The location was perfect! Not far from the pier or the beach! Quiet and had a feel like you were in a lil resort village! The comp breakfast very good and staff very friendly and accommodating! We will definitely book Barbados Terrace again on any return trip to Thailand/Koh Samet!

I loved the location and how handy it was from the pier an the main beach, shops, restaurants… But the best of Sandaze is not the hostel but the owners!!!! They helped and guided me on every question I had. Golf and Holly made my days at Koh Samet, unforgettable!!!!

First trip to Koh Samet and I feel like we picked a great place. Beautiful, uncrowded beach, the hotel restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and you have more choices a short walk down the beach. Highly recommend Vongduean Resort if you’re going to Samet.

One of the few hotels that also has a swimming pool on Koh Samet. We got a good rate compared to some of the other hotels. Right next to the lovely beach although not actually fronting the beach.

very cute hostel and good value for money. other then a resort it’s pretty much the only place to stay in Koh samet. staff was nice and air conditioning was a plus!!

The best beach at Koh Samet and a perfect and very welcoming Hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Everything was smooth and a perfect stay for a couple of nights.

Great set up right on the beautiful beach with easy access. We stayed with my mom who has dementia and the staff was so good to her. The food here was fantastic and they had the best beach hang spot and fire show. Definitely will stay here again!

We stayed at Baan Ploy Sea for two nights, in a jungle view room. The room was spacious and very clean, and very quiet through the night. Probably a better choice than the sea view rooms, which are right next to the little pool where kids start to play early in the morning. The restaurant is great, clearly one of the best on the island, and breakfast was delicious. Staff is very helpful. The beachfront is clean, and that part of the bay isn't too busy with boats. You can rent a paddle board or kayaks. An extra bonus is the incredibly smooth logistics from mainland to the island and back. If I ever return to Koh Samed, I know where to stay.
