The hotel is very old with a lot of historical artefacts and decoration, which makes it the perfect atmosphere if you're here on the road to the battlefields. The facilities are a bit old but still decent and the room was more comfortable then it first looked. A few attentions in the room, not necessarily expected from such a big hotel.

Everything about the place is memorable and we cannot get enough of. The reception by Phumi and Lindokuhle was warm, friendly and informative excellent service from the entrance. Our room 206 was clean and smelt fresh, our bathroom felt like it had not been used by anyone before. The two guys from the ZIPLINE;Simphiwe and Sibusiso are proffessionals, from the gearing up,tutor instructions up to the last landing platform. They took us step by step and were very careful. Before the Zipline we went for Quads by a very patient young man Phumlani. He also took us through the process first before gearing us up and did not rush us through the trails the 2hrs felt very little. After the day was done we got to relax at the Raptors bar with Mcebo who has a thing with cocktails. Every order we made came out exceptional. We definitely going back. Almost forgot the kitchen!!!! the waiiters were sooo attentive. The chef himself came out to ask us about his creations... Perfect every time.

The breakfast was very good. Omelette just the way I like it.

Staying here was the highlight of our Africa trip. The views were outstanding, the staff were super friendly and everyone went out of their way to make every day special. it was everything we expected and more.

The setting is unique and inviting. The staff were absolutely exceptional and eager to help. Wonderful night. We changed our trip back to include a night at Pyramids Motel.

Amazing staff, rooms, food, game drives and service

Me and my family enjoyed the pools, The room was very clean, and the staff was great.

- Staff was super nice from the arrival, at the breakfast to the checkout - Got a free room upgrade and stayed in a nice & comfy place - Booked the breakfast at short notice which is recommended if you want a good start in your day

The set, comfort and friendliness we came across, I know babieds don't sleep but I slept like a baby, it was fantastic, they accept pets I loved that mostly, thank you siyabonga, breakfast was set up unfortunately we were running late, grabbed a muffin which I enjoyed. For me this was Wow.

The location is quiet and refreshing

The rooms were clean and the pillows were amazing. Had the most comfortable sleep. Staff were really accommodating and friendly. The children’s facilities were amazing. We would definitely return for a longer stay to enjoy the fun activities of the lodge. The housekeeping ladies were amazing that cleaned our rooms on Saturday morning. All our dietary requirements were taken care off.

Probably one of the best lodges I have stayed in - they really stand out in terms of hospitality and facilities. Staff is just so good, they always call you by name, personalise your whole experience. Spa experience was also very good, game drives were informative and we saw plenty of game including 4 out of big fives. It felt we were living in a movie. Just book it, it's worth it!
