The staff was amazing and really made sure, that we have everything that we need. Since the hotel on the pictures is currently under renovation, we got a room in the Canary Nungwi Hotel with a free room upgrade and free 60 minutes massage for each one of us. It would be better to place some information in the Booking.com description, that the hotel is a different one, but they really cared well for us at the other hotel, it was a great stay and they definitely made it up for that small confusion. They also let us stay a bit longer on our last day and gave us a different room, such that we could shower once more before heading to the airport in the late afternoon.

The unexpected gravel road leading to the spectacular property was nice surprise. My partner and I weren’t sure what to expect but we were graciously greeted by Harry who accommodated us for all our needs during our stay. Him and all the staff were friendly and welcoming so we definitely felt at home. The villas are far larger than we anticipated— ours was gorgeous, clean and very private with an ocean view. I can’t write a review about Saphira without mentioning the food. Chef was fabulous. He came to the table each night to recommend his favourite dishes and even recommended things off the menu he had created for the day. Easy to say my partner and I ate far more than necessary as everything was just that good. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Africa— thanks for hosting us!

This is, without any doubt, the BEST resort/hotel I ever been to. When we first stepped in to the resort our breath were taken away from us, it was so beautiful that we just stood there and making wow noises. The facilitys are great, the staf is polite and helpful and the location is perfect. The food were also incredible. We will come back, no doubt! I recommend this to everyone, it is worth the money you spend. Thank you Riu Palace

My brother and me spent 5 days in Nungwi beach resort by Turaco This was my second time at this hotel, I really enjoyed my time on the first visit, this is why I decided to come a second time. I say happily that the only change, I met , was that the food was much better and had more variety. The hotel is located in the middle of probably ,the nicest beach in Zanzibar. Tourquis water, fishermen boats taken like from a picture, white sand, and palm trees. The people at the hotel are always very kind and helpful, doing everything with a smile on their face. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. I took a second time the all-inclusive deal, I think it is worth it. One can drink as much cocktails as he wants, can choose between Pizza or Hamburger at the pool or a buffet for lunch and a good dinner buffet. The Alcoholic cocktails, which I mentioned, are of a real high level. I don’t know if it is because of the fresh tropical fruits or the bartenders, who prepare them. I have been to some fensi hotels, like Hyatt in Cancun, but for my taste they are not coming to this level. While there, ask Benson, maybe the best bartender I met, to prepare a Pinacolada or Mango Daciri, he is a real professional. Thanks also to Lea, who always does her best, so we can feel like in a home. I recommend this hotel to anybody, who is going to make a holiday in Zanzibar.

The location is fantastic direct on the beach. You can sleep with the sound of waves. The staff is kind and helpful. The room and environment is very clean. Very comfortable and safe with own sun bed area which is only accessible for the hotel guests and 24 hours security. Open buffet breakfast much better than in other places in same category.

Nice hotel with pool, kids were so happy about it. The hotel area was beautiful, we could rest as we need it. Bar, Restaurant was very good and the famous Nungwi beach is just few minutes from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you
