The hosts are kind and sweet, the facilities are cosy, and the space is soothing and aesthetic. The building apparently is 100 years old, so it has a very traditional Japanese character which is exactly what you want from a trip here. The hosts also volunteered to drive me to the train station so I would be on time for the next leg of my journey. I stayed here only overnight, but it's the sort of place that makes you wish you had stayed for longer.

We stayed in one of the most affordable rooms but it was still super comfortable and aesthetically very pleasing, as was the rest of the building and the entire town, really. The yukata provided by the guesthouse are very good quality and the several onsens have a timeless yet modern vibe. The staff is very friendly. We also had breakfast which was superb. We came specially from Fukuoka for one night and were glad we did. I would go back any time.
