Loved that it is a historical building with character. Yet a funky modern fit out. Quiet character alley, in old Madrid near lots of tapas bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. Very clean, helpful staff. Upgraded me to a bigger room, thanks.

L'Hotel Porcel Ganivet està situat a 150 m de l'estació de metro de Puerta de Toledo de Madrid i a 10 minuts a peu de la plaça Mayor. The staff spoke very good English and they were really friendly. The room was spacious, modern decorated and seemed to be newly renovated. The beds were extra wide and very comfortable. And the huge terrace was the cherry on the cake! The location of the hotel was super for us, only 150 meters from the nearest metro station. You can easily walk to the center, as we did, the Plaza Mayor is only about 850 meters away. We liked also the neighbourhood with lots of beautiful houses, restaurants and bars. Altogether the value-for-money ratio was exceptionally good. We would love to stay here again.
