The location was above Funchal with a stunning view of the city and the ocean. The cable car starts steps away and the Sled ride is 5 minutes away. The restaurant was terrific and breakfast on the terrace was divine! The staff were brilliant and super helpful

First of all José was an amazing person and really nice and friendly and My family and I were really really happy with the hospitality that they brought to us to stay on this beautiful island of Madeira we would definitely stay here again one day in the Future! We had the most wonderful stay at the Mountain Eco Shelter. The location is beautiful - the lodges are in a beautiful Ecological Park full of plants and flowers. You can do hikes directly from the lodges. The lodges themselves have everything you need - a great kitchen, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a stunning view. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. There’s even a snackbar down the road where you can grab dinner & drinks. We loved every minute of our stay here and we are already planning to come back again.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Located in Funchal, in a historic building, 4.6 km from Marina do Funchal, Quinta Belmonte Funchal is a recently renovated villa with a garden and barbecue facilities. The place is great, everything you might need is there. Even more than expected. Impeccable interior, spacious room, comfort, jacuzzi, grill, beautiful ocean views and even a mini-garden. Also, there is an opportunity to visit the botanical garden nearby. You feel as if you have come to friends who were really waiting for you and were glad for your arrival. The owner is always in touch and ready to help any issue, also to give advice. Separate shout-out to Alicia - she is super manager! She is always there for you. Overall you will feel welcomed here.
